“Anatomy of Sound picks with their unique design, have been a great help in healing my picking hand. I’ve tried many picks in the past, spending a lot of money to no avail. The first time I tried the AoS pick, its design kinda intimidated me; but when you pick it up, it automatically goes to the playing position without fumbling. This was a breakthrough for me. For the first time I had no pain in my hand and forearm. My favorite picks are the Heart Attack Rigid Guitar Picks. They just feel creamy to me. Start with a sampler pack to find your favorite pick!”

“The quality is impressive. Licks that are hard to play seem to be easier. Techniques like sweeping, string skipping, and fast picking are effortless! The sound on both electric and acoustic guitars is awesome. You can clearly hear the difference! The sound is deep, warm, and dynamic! These are the best picks I have tried, and trust me… I tried a lot!”

As a true gear addict, Max’s collection contains 30 guitars, 15 amps, almost 100 pedals, and countless accessories. His pick of choice hadn’t changed since 2011, but immediately changed when he got his hands on the 3D Heart Beat Jazz picks by Anatomy of Sound. Max prefers them due to their comfort, sound quality, and ergonomics.

Nick Shaw

Nick Shaw is a South Yorkshire, U.K, based guitar player who has played with many bands on the U.K pub, club and festival scene. As well as being a current member of the U.K’s premier Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, Aynt Skynyrd, Nick also works as a solo artist performing regular acoustic shows.

Nick’s influences are firmly routed in the blues, southern rock and old school country genres, although he has played every style of music over the years.

Nick’s passion for music comes from his dad who is a drummer and will tell you stories of Nick playing along to Mark Knopfler on a little plastic toy guitar at the age of three. Music was always around in the house growing up.

2020 has been an interesting and challenging year for all musicians. But never one to be beaten, Nick has invested time into building a studio and has since been remotely recording guitars and vocals for various clients including production music for one of Universal’s producers. You can also check out Nick’s YouTube channel for his weekly Tea-Time Treats videos and other music related content.

“Durability and comfort are the two main deciding factors for me when choosing a guitar pick. Over the years I have tried literally hundreds of different gauges, materials and sizes of guitar pick. Each time I’ve hit the same problem… longevity! The Heart Beat Jazz, rigid picks have cured this problem. After hours of use these picks still look like new! As an extra bonus, the 3D nature of the pick is very comfortable and easy to grip meaning they don’t slip out of sweaty hands and also reduce fatigue.”

“Guitar picks can not only change the sound you’re able to capture while playing, but they can also change how you feel about playing. Ever since discovering Anatomy of Sound picks I have found that I can not only play faster with ease, but I’m more pleased with the overall tone the picks help me achieve. The 3D design is truly one of a kind, allowing your fingers to grip the same place every time for optimal comfort. Over the years I struggled to find picks I was truly comfortable using as my playing styles changed. I’ve finally found what I was looking for with AOS – particularly the Bronze Bikini picks!”

Kristen Embers

Kristen Embers

Originally from Ohio, Kristen Embers began playing guitar in March 2003 after her parents bought her first guitar from Ebay. It was a very well maintained Washburn F10S that she still owns and cherishes to this day. Much to her parents’ surprise she instantly knew it was something she was meant to do and has been playing ever since.

As a young teen she religiously listened to “Nights with Alice Cooper” on the radio, trying to learn the songs by ear on the guitar while tuning in. This radio show, built the foundation of most of her knowledge regarding classic rock history, songs and band members. She credits an enormous amount of what she knows about the guitar to her father and the guitar teacher she briefly had as a child (John).

Kristen’s strongest music influences include the stylings of Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Gilmour, Tinsley Ellis, Judas Priest and Queensryche. With a background in finance she aspires to someday be able to turn her passion of music and guitar into a full time career. She is most known to play her Fender Stratocaster which is named “Texas Toast” in honor of the Texas Special Pickups it possesses.
